- Introduction
This Computer Network and Use Policy (“Policy”) outlines the acceptable use of computer equipment, systems, and networks within [Organization Name] (“Organization”) by all users, including employees, volunteers, and children. The purpose of this policy is to ensure that all users utilize the Organization’s computer resources responsibly, ethically, and in compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
- Scope
This Policy applies to all users of the Organization’s computer equipment, systems, and networks, including but not limited to desktop computers, laptops, tablets, smartphones, printers, servers, software, and internet access.
- Acceptable Use
All users must adhere to the following acceptable use guidelines:
a. Use computer resources and networks only for authorized purposes related to the Organization’s mission and activities. b. Ensure the privacy and confidentiality of personal information and comply with applicable privacy laws and regulations. c. Protect the integrity, availability, and security of computer resources and networks.
- Prohibited Activities
Users are expressly prohibited from engaging in the following activities:

Accessing, transmitting, or storing inappropriate, offensive, or harmful content, including but not limited to pornography, hate speech, or content that promotes violence, discrimination, or harassment. c. Intentionally disrupting or damaging computer resources, systems, or networks. f. Installing or using unauthorized software or hardware on the Organization’s computer equipment.
- Internet Safety and Content Filtering
To protect children from accessing inappropriate content, the Organization will implement content filtering and monitoring solutions on its networks. Users must not attempt to bypass or disable these filters or engage in activities that may expose children to harmful or inappropriate content.
- Supervision and Monitoring
All users, including children, must be supervised when accessing the Organization’s computer resources and networks. Staff members and volunteers are responsible for monitoring children’s use of these resources to ensure compliance with this Policy and promote safe, responsible online behavior.
- Reporting and Enforcement
Users are required to report any suspected violations of this Policy, security incidents, or inappropriate content to the designated IT administrator or supervisor immediately. The Organization reserves the right to investigate alleged violations and take appropriate disciplinary action, including temporary or permanent suspension of computer and network access, termination of employment or volunteer status, or legal action.
